Immunoassay for the
Qualitative Determination of Troponin I
and Troponin I/T/C Complex
A
Assay for Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
The studies show that ECGs (electrocardiograph) are inconclusive in about 40% to 50% of patient suspect to suffer from cardiac damage. Tni is a very specific protein marker for AMI and can be detected 8 hours to two weeks after chest pain.
The test can detect two isoform of Tni-- free Tni and complex Tn I-C-T at 0.1 ng/ml .
